July 7 @ 6:30 pm8:30 pm

Free
Are you a young person (18 – 30) concerned about climate change? Are you seeking a community in which to express these thoughts and feelings?
Join Creating Climate Resilience for a free Tuesday evening workshop series utilizing artmaking and dialogue to explore your thoughts and feelings about climate change in a supportive space. Creating Climate Resilience is a community initiative aiming to cultivate people’s emotional resilience to climate impacts through relationship building, knowledge mobilization and art workshops.

Over this series of four art workshops we will explore such themes as how climate change feels in our bodies, how we can respond to ecological grief and climate anxiety, and our visions for what a climate resilient future could look like. This is a safe space to create ‘bad art’ to process your climate emotions. No prior artmaking experience or expertise about climate change is required. Snacks and supplies provided!
Dates: Tuesdays June 23rd, June 30th, July 7th and July 14th
Time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Location: Open Space Arts Society, 510 Fort Street, 2nd Floor, Victoria BC
What to bring: a water bottle and yourself. Food and all artmaking supplies are provided!

This workshop series was made possible due to the financial support of the Ocean Wise Ocean Action Grant. To learn more about Ocean Wise and their work on marine conservation and climate action please visit: https://ocean.org/
