Volume FOUR is here… We’re loving all these local bands and all their marvelous talent that they bring to the Victoria Event Centre. Bands!Bands!Bands! brings four bands together under one roof for an exciting community driven evening where we can all share in fantastic music.
Anteater Eater
Emerging from the dark underbelly of suburban Esquimalt, Anteater Eater are the new vanguards of the international pop underground. Their vibrant mix of rock, punk, folk, and dance music is guaranteed to worm its way into your heart and brain in a non-life-threatening manner. Their shows are always a good time, with plenty of audience interaction and colourful costumes. Anteater Eater is your band.
Tontoloop
tontoloop is a two-piece band that combines a blend of English and Spanish singing, evoking dramatic but also soft and emotionally expressive moments. Rodrigo and Jordan seek to craft tontoloop’s sound with punk-inspired guitars, fast beats, and atmospheric phrases. Together, they create a sound that can best be described as ‘dream punk’.
Meteor In The Metro
Meteor in the Metro is one of the latest rock bands to come out of Victoria. Aron (bass), Joel (guitar), Justus (drums) and Matt (vocals/guitar) bring their diverse musical interests together to create their own sound. Just wrapping up their first EP, Meteor in the Metro is ready to share their music live. Strong on lyrics, long on guitar riffs and a rhythm section that kicks.
Slugger
An assemblage of members from local Vic bands (ex-cowboy, Divisionaries, Bottom Feeder), Slugger bonded over a kindred musical curiosity and a penchant for sharing puerile memes. Slugger is hard-working slacker rock. We relish musical contradiction: high concept tunes with catchy melodies, arty lyrics with singable hooks.
We are grateful for the generous support of the City of Victoria’s Music Strategy Fund, without which this event would not be possible.
