Expect a soulful blend of Old Skool Funk and the diversity of AfroFusion. We are encouraging you to come decked out in your best 70’s inspired outfit – don’t hold back! Line-Up includes local superstar DJs:
DJAMA – Aya Clappis is an afro-indigenous person of somali and nuu-chah-nulth descent who often daydreams of revolution, tender moments, liberation, and the shorelines from which they emerge. Aya lives, labours, and organizes in the homelands of lekwungen speaking peoples, specifically the W̱SÁNEĆ, Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. Since October 2022, they have been a member of the new and emergent DJ collective – Resonance. As a newer DJ undefined by genre, their goal is to bring drum-focused, energetic and diasporic music into every space they play.
DJ Juice – Ryan “JUICE” Walton has built a small empire becoming a go to party DJ around western stage with acts like Bun B, T.I, Mat the Alien, The Funk Hunters, Skratch Bastid, The Hallucination and many more. His sounds combine a non-stop head bobbing blend of funk, disco, hip-hop, dancehall, latin and house with a hint of that late night bass when the time is right. Needless to say, he keeps the dance floor going from sunny afternoons all the way into the wee hours of the morning. His reputation has grown just as fast as the dance floors in front of him over the years.
DJ Ezo – Originally from Tanzania DJ Ezo will be bringing the beat to your soul and the rhythm to your feet. Mixing up tunes from Afrobeats, Hip-hop, Amapiano, Dancehall, Bongo-Flava, Latin with passion only matched by his love for making people dance.
Come ready to shake off what is left of the winter blues as we welcome and celebrate returning to The Light!
