The Local Cellar and Café Mexico invite you to celebrate 40 incredible years of flavour, culture, and community at Experience Agave — a vibrant evening dedicated to tequila, mezcal, and the rich traditions behind them.

Held in the iconic Market Square courtyard, this special anniversary event honours Café Mexico, Victoria’s oldest Mexican restaurant and one of the longest-standing Mexican restaurants in Western Canada.

Your ticket includes:

• A complimentary souvenir tasting glass

• Samples from 20+ agave distilleries – tequila, mezcal, sotol, raicilla and more

• Access to food offerings on site: La Tortilla and Kattia’s Kitchen

• Seamless access to Café Mexico throughout the festival, however this is based on availability. Cafe Mexico will be open to regular customers and tickets are not required to eat there, only for the Experience Agave action happening in Market Square.

The evening comes alive with authentic entertainment featuring Mariachi Sin Frontera, DJ SUAR3Z, and captivating performances by Fiesta Latina Ballet Folklorico of Victoria and Bachata lessons courtesy of Bachata Victoria, bringing the spirit, colour, and energy of Mexican culture to the heart of downtown.
