October 14, 2023 @ 10:00 pm11:30 pm

$21.59
FORZA (fort-sa) (Italian: Let’s Go, we’ve got this!) is a monthly queer dance party. With a rotating cast of local legends and emerging voices, FORZA is a night of fast and fun beats: A space where queer and trans folx can come to dance it all out!
This event is intentionally queer and trans centred and designed to create a safer space for the trans/queer/femme community on Lkwungen and WSANEC Territories. All those behind the production (Organizers, Graphic Artists, Visual Artists) are Trans/ genderqueer.
If you do not identify with the identity markers and life experiences of queer and/or trans people, perhaps reflect on if this is the correct event for you to participate in, and at minimum, what measures you will take to ensure that you do not perpetuate harm.
Please follow @14thguest on Instagram for more information including our responsibility agreement and our accountability as a production group.
———- ARTIST BIOS ————
ILOVEACE:
Asa (Iloveace) is a Black American born and molded by the Bay Area’s underground punk scene. Before he spun records, he shredded a guitar, renouncing the principles and ideologies of White Supremacy with his punk rock ballads. Inspired by the Black and Queer DJs before him, he takes the genres of House, Drum n Bass, hip-hop and Dub-Step and laces them with messages of equity, freedom, and a good time.
GASOLINA:
Gasolina is a queer, white, Spanish/American DJ eternally impacted by their teenage emo phase. Inspired by Latin club music, punk culture, hardstyle and noise, Gasolina loves to move from grungy, fast, harsh noises with ecstatic, emotive melodies. As a founding member of the Resonance Collective, they’ve been able to grow as a DJ thanks to the support of their friends and fellow DJs, as well as watch the underground scene on Lekwungen territories blossom.
‘NZIKI DANZA:
‘nziki danza is a sicilian born & raised dj who enjoys mixing different music genres and blending them with traditional taranta drums & modern italian electronic remixes.
sicily has always been a place marked by migration to and from, connecting different cultures from neighboring north africa, europe and the middle east. ‘nziki loves making different realities and cultures coexist, melange and evolve through music as a way to bring people together, collectively cherish the shared experiences, get a glimpse into the unshared ones, and -most importantly- have a great time!
TUNASTY (Tucy x LuNasty):
TUNASTY is the creative baby of Tucy and LuNasty, the couple responsible for the production of FORZA. Born out of Trans love, neurodivergence and a deep appreciation for the power of music and movement, TUNASTY seeks to uplift underrepresented artists and create spaces for queer and trans bodies to dance, laugh and radiate
Tucy is a queer transfeminine person who grew up on the unceded territories of the Eastern Band of Cherokee and Timucan Peoples. She became involved in DJing through the kindness and support of other genderqueer folx living on Lkwungen territory. Tucy is shaped by the hardcore punk scene of her youth and inspired by the queer club renaissance of today. Expect to find incredibly balanced sets where grimey vocals, buzzy acid lines, and ear-crushing kicks exist alongside moments of peace and reprieve.
LuNasty is a white, queer, neurodivergent, trans femme of Italian and British descent who grew up on Treaty 1 territory. Entering the DJ community from a performance art background (dance, drag, spoken word), LuNasty brings energy, emotion and a touch of spectacle into her sets. Inspired by underground queer club culture, Italian techno and hyperpop/hard dance bangers, LuNasty will keep your body moving deep into the night.
