Raised in Nanaimo, BC, John Lee is a multi-instrumentalist and one of Canada’s most acclaimed jazz artists. A protégé of Phil Dwyer and Ingrid Jensen, he made his U.S. debut at 19 with pianist Cyrus Chestnut at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Since then, Lee has become a fixture in the Canadian jazz scene, sharing the stage with Eric Alexander, Joe Farnsworth, Peter Bernstein, and more. In 2021, with Cellar Music Group, he released his debut album The Artist, featuring legendary drummer Carl Allen.
