Keeping it Human: Frontlines

June 27, 2023 @ 6:30 pm9:00 pm

Outreach workers and frontline volunteers are the backbone of our social services sector and yet their voices are sorely missing from community conversations around homelessness.
Keeping it Human: Frontlines is a unique, grassroots event that will encourage the exchange of human understanding between individuals on the frontlines of homelessness and greater Victoria communities.
This evening will feature a series of video interviews with the real experts on outreach from our community, interactive exercises for the audience to reflect and build relationships, and an art and photography gallery from Outreach workers across Southern Vancouver Island.
What will our event include?
Public screening of the Ask the Experts: Frontline series, including the premier of the third and final episode
Collective facilitated dialogue about what we’ve seen and what we need in the community
Interactive creative activity to reflect on learnings from the event
A gallery of affirmations and reflections written by outreach workers as messages to each other and to you, the public.
This is a by-donation event where all proceeds will be going to a local organization involved in street outreach
