Corrie Peters (she/her) is an artist and educator in conversation with social practice and installation, among other mediums. Her artwork is building relationships that teach her how to listen to and learn from those often silenced through current systems of power. In this she holds so much gratitude for all those who continually teach her about empathy, activism, change and care. Her publicly displayed pieces are documentation of the artwork – translating what she has learnt to a larger audience. She continually finds herself returning to the craft-based materials and techniques of the matriarchs of her family.
