Reconciliation Day Ride
Join us in honoring the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, learning about the impacts of colonialism and paying tribute to residential school survivors, their families, and communities. We acknowledge with gratitude that this ride takes place on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen [lak”anan] Peoples, known today as the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. We recognize that this day can be heavy and emotional — we invite everyone to come together in support, reflection, and a shared commitment to reconciliation.
Schedule:
9:30 AM – Meet @ Songhees Park (free coffee & snacks)
10:00 AM – Presentation
11:00 AM – 9.2km Ride to Wharf St., then Dallas Rd. to Vancouver St., ending at the South Island Powwow 12:00 PM – Arrive at the South Island Powwow, Royal Athletic Park
The Locker Bike Valet will be available
Everyone is welcome, but registration is required.
