The Shining

One of the greatest horror movies of all time returns to The Vic in recognition of the late Shelley Duvall’s incredible performance. This classic adaptation of Stephen King’s book sees caretaker Jack Torrance (played to terrifying perfection by Jack Nicholson) bring his wife, Wendy (Duvall) and son, Danny (Danny Lloyd) to a winter work placement at the deserted Overlook Hotel. Isolation soon sets in, and creeping madness, but is it psychological strain causing the decay in the family’s wellbeing, or something more sinister and supernatural?
