Victoria Tartan Parade

Government Street will come alive on May 11th with the sound of bagpipes, the spectacle of highland dancers, decorated floats and more at the annual Victoria Tartan Parade. The event takes place a week before the 161st Victoria Highland Games and Celtic Festival in Topaz Park which runs May 18 and 19. The parade starts in Centennial Square at 11 a.m. and travels down Government Street to the BC Legislature lawn where pipe bands will play, the highland fling will be danced and a demonstration of the caber toss by heavy-event athletes will take place.
