Get swept away by our misfit Max as they escape the confines of this chaotic world into a realm of their own design. Through embodied dance, pole performances, aerial arts, spoken word, exquisite audiovisuals, and an original reimagining of the timeless tale “Where the Wild Things Are” – we tame the Monsters of time, structure, obligation, and expectation. In our adult-only utopia, Max takes control and conjures a world where all the juiciest gnashing feelings and internal rumblings are not only accepted… but embraced with open hearts and minds. Forget the daily grind and get lost in our sensual, vivid and surreal fantasy where all are welcome and nothing is forbidden! Get tickets now to WILD THING by Luminesque Dance and Pole Coven – a whimsical, wondrous, and wild story unlike any we’ve ever told before – at the Capital Ballroom on July 22 + 29.
Please note tickets listed below are our ticket prices, and the venue adds fees on top.
Get up close and personal in the front row!
These are the best seats in the house! Enjoy our “splash zone” interaction with the performers in the front row. Includes four chairs and a table. Please note these seats aren’t for the faint of heart – if you aren’t prepared to cheer loud and don’t want personal attention from our performers, try our reserved seats instead! Touching the performers without explicit consent is strictly prohibited.
Guarantee yourself a place to sit + watch!
Enjoy our show in comfort by reserving a seated spot. Seats are assigned on a first-come first-seated basis, so if you’d like the best sight line or to sit with your friends, we recommend lining up early. While this ticket guarantees you a spot to sit, it does not guarantee a seat in any particular area of the venue.
Experience the show from every angle!
Roam the venue, grab drinks and watch from any angle you like. This is also the most affordable way to see a Luminesque show. Make sure you come early to get a great spot! This ticket is standing only and does not include a place to sit – we cannot provide seats to GA patrons day-of. Not recommended for those with mobility issues or the elderly. Early Bird tickets are available in limited quantities, so buy early to save!
that we gratefully rehearsed for and are performing this show on the stolen land of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, as well as the traditional territories of the Lkwungen (Lekwungen) speaking peoples, also known today as the Songhees, Esquimalt, and W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations. We are committed to working to decolonize our business, and acknowledging the rightful owners of this land is one of many steps.
…that dance is a part of culture, which involves and intersects with many histories, geographies, lived experiences, and generational inequalities. We dance to tell stories, which makes our modality a meaningful form of art that warrants respect and acknowledgment of its origins. Heels dance as an art is inspired and informed by cultures from the African diaspora, Latin American cultures, LGBTQ+ community culture, kink culture, and the sex work profession. As participants in and appreciators of these cultures, we are committed to dismantling the systems that seek to oppress them. We do so by examining our own biases, integrating diverse perspectives, investing back into these communities, continually educating ourselves, and creating a culture of accountability with our team, students, and advisors. We believe that by encouraging underrepresented voices and bodies to claim their space onstage and onscreen, we’re contributing to building a world where everyone can shine.
