$45An unforgettable evening with Yves Lambert and his Grand Orchestre
The VFS has the grand honor to present Yves Lambert, a true legend of Quebec traditional music (singer and co-founder of La Bottine Souriante)
To celebrate 50 years in the music business, Yves Lambert brings together a Grand Orchestre of 7 musicians, with his core team of Paul Audy (guitar, vocals) Robin Boulianne (violin, mandolin, podorythmie, voice), Mathieu Royer (double bass), Geneviève St-Pierre (keyboard) and a warm wind section with Mélanie Bourrassa (bass clarinet and clarinet), Mary Chalk (bassoon) and Gabriel Schwartz (saxophone, transverse flute, piccolo and percussion).
With the Grand Orchestre Yves goes big! A generous, festive show with an orchestration that explores new harmonic and rhythmic avenues. With Le Grand Orchestre, Mr. Lambert presents a show imbued with sonic textures, always affirming his passionate, open and creative “Québécoisness”.
“I’m a lover of harmony and musicality, whatever the style of music, and right now I have musicians who are truly virtuosos. Although I have a rocker’s temperament, even when I’m doing folk music, you can feel the sensitivity. It’s fluid, it’s beautiful, it’s daring, it has all the qualities” – Yves Lambert
