DESCRIPTION:“The reality of disability and joy means accepting that not every day is good but every day has openings for small pockets of joy” – Alice Wong \nJoin us for ‘Pockets of Joy’ A poetry event celebrating poets with disabilities and disabled poets at Caffe Fantastico from 7:00 pm – 8:50 pm\, doors at 6:30pm. Event by donation. \nOpen mic from 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm for disabled folks. Open mic participants have 3 – 5 minutes depending how many people sign up. \nFeatured readers are from 7:40 pm – 8:50 pm. \nThey are Judy Woo\, Ishtar\, Catherine St. Denis\, Kath Healing\, and Terri Gower. \nAccessibility details: \n– There will be masks available at this event \n– There are three steps inside the space between the food and drink counter and the seating area \nImage description: \nFive circular photos of the featured poets with either names below.
