To project our instruments’ subtleties & surprises to listening audiences is very special. Attila & I\, while both professionals often playing in others’ traditional projects\, each have eclectic tastes in our jazz: mine often leaning variously Latin\, but also influenced by prog- & jazz-rock; Attila’s often via Brazil\, but also deeply European\, very schooled\, yet very visceral. This is Habitat Victoria’s premier annual fundraising event\, contributing to helping local families get a hand-up into affordable homeownership. \nThe event sees over 20\,000 visitors from school groups\, community groups\, Victoria locals\, tourists and more. All attendees are encouraged to vote for their favourite and make a donation. \nThe Showcase is made possible by the dedication of Habitat Victoria’s volunteer Gingerbread Ambassadors\, who engage with visitors on-site while supporting donations\, sharing information\, and bringing the event to life. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProfessional and home bakers alike spend hundreds of hours interpreting this year’s Showcase theme\, bringing it to life in dozens of creative ways using edible materials of all kinds.
