DESCRIPTION:THE EVENT \nVicFest: Celebrate Victoria is a free\, public Victoria Day celebration in Centennial Square put on by Dopa\, IMM\, and DVBA. It brings together local businesses\, food trucks\, and the downtown community for an afternoon of movement\, discovery\, and celebration. \nThe event is the grand finale of Unlock Victoria\, a two-week city-wide walking challenge (May 4–18) powered by the free Dopa app. Hundreds of participants will have been exploring downtown businesses for two weeks before event day — VicFest is where it all comes together. \n  \nEvent day features: \n\nLive wellness activations and demos from local businesses\nCurated food truck lineup\nLeaderboard reveal and raffle prizes from the Unlock Victoria challenge\nLaunch of the Dopa Passport — discounts from 20+ downtown businesses\nVic Quest — a paid photo challenge race (details below)\nMusic\, community energy\, and 300–500+ expected attendees\n100% of Vic Quest entry fees go to prizes and a local cause\n\nVIC QUEST — THE DAY-OF CHALLENGE \nVic Quest is a paid photo challenge race running during VicFest. Think Amazing Race meets downtown Victoria. It’s the centrepiece of the event and the primary engagement driver for sponsors. \n  \nHow It Works: \n\nSign up. Participants pay $25 to enter and form teams of 2–4.\nGet your quest card. Each team gets a quest card in the Dopa app listing all sponsor checkpoints.\nVisit and snap. Teams visit sponsor booths at their own pace between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM. At each booth\, the business sets a photo prompt — strike a pose\, try a demo\, complete a mini challenge. The participant takes the photo through the Dopa app and earns their points. No rushing — just complete all checkpoints before 1:30.\nThe final clue drops. At exactly 1:30 PM\, every qualifying team receives the final clue simultaneously — a riddle pointing to a hidden Dopa marker in the square. First team to find it and photograph it wins.\nShare your recap. The app generates a personal photo collage of every checkpoint — the participant’s Vic Quest Recap. Post to Instagram tagging @playdopa and #VicQuest for social prizes.\n\n  \nPrizes: \n\n50% of all entry fees go to prizes — $500 guaranteed for the winner\, remainder to runners-up\n50% of all entry fees donated to a local cause\nBest Photo and Best Collage prizes from local business partners\n100% of every entry fee goes to prizes and charity

First Wave. is the global launch weekend for Abyss: Vault\, going down May 22–24\, 2026\, and the brand new Infusion Play VR – (102-546 Yates street) will be hosting the Victoria Rebellion!\n\n Use promo “Abysslaunch” as a promo code for 50% off tickets!  \nHere is the direct booking link to Infusion Play Book Arena 1. \nAbyss: Vault is a new virtual reality experience where rebel squads infiltrate an underwater vault and work as a team to recover humanity’s last hope for survival. Select venues across Europe and Canada are breaching the vault simultaneously for the first time ever for this red carpet event. Think fully themed lobbies\, a photo backdrop where every squad gets their premiere moment\, and limited edition bandanas waiting at the door. \nGlobal Competition\nCompete in a global scavenger hunt In addition to playing the co-op adventure game\, for the launch event\, find 10 objects hidden inside the vault\, ranked by fastest mission time. Teams compete in the following categories: \nFamily Rebels (includes a child 12 or under)\nTeen Rebels (majority aged 13–17)\n-Adult Rebels (adults\, no children)\nThe Fastest Scavengers globally in each category will even get their names immortalized in graffiti in the game FOREVER. \nDress code\nThe rebellion has no dress code\, just a colour code. Dress in red\, green\, or blue—and pick any theme or style for your squad’s costumes. Think red onsies\, a green team jersey\, or blue punk plaid. You can dress in a full outfit or just co-ordinating colours. We’re handing out limited edition bandanas in your colour to complete your look. \n \nHow to Join The Rebellion\nSessions are limited and expected to sell out.
