COME CELEBRATE & SUPPORT VICTORIA’S WONG SHEUNG KUNG FU CLUB ON THEIR 50TH ANNIVERSARY! SUNDAY MAY 26, 2024 10;30AM – 2:30PM
The WSKFC is the longest continually operating Kung Fu club in BC and the only club in Canada to teach a left-handed style of Kung Fu. Lion dancing and dragon dancing is performed by Kung Fu practitioners as an expression of the spirit of their Kung Fu school. The art form is in danger of being lost due to a lack of new recruits. As an integral part of the pride and a symbol of the strength of Chinese-Canadian history, culture and national identity, the Wong Sheung Kung Fu Club will celebrate it’s 50TH Anniversary on May 26, 2024, the last of Sunday of National Asian Heritage Month.
We invite you to join this family-friendly celebration supporting Arts & Culture In Canada’s oldest Chinatown with merchant blessings, performances at Awakening Chinatown 2024, 500 block Fisgard, and a Golden Anniversary Parade with visiting Kung Fu clubs from around the PNW, here to honour the Wong Sheung Kung Fu Team.
