Celebrate BC Family Day in Victoria’s historic Chinatown at the official launch of Ellie Awakens the Spirits of Tam Kung Temple — a special children’s book created in honour of the 150th anniversary of Tam Kung Temple (est. 1876), the oldest Chinese temple in Canada.
Funded by Heritage Canada, this meaningful project shares the temple’s rich history and cultural legacy through storytelling for young readers.
Meet author Lori Wong, enjoy free English-language guided temple tours from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and receive a complimentary copy of the book (while supplies last).
